The easy way to explore Amsterdam:
Enjoy Amsterdam and travel comfortably with this guide in your pocket. Detailed and clickable customs maps with all tram/metro lines, stops and connected hotspots (points of interest).

For international visitors who wants to explore the area around Amsterdam, we included some nice Tourist Highlights which are easy to access by the Dutch Railway system. Therefore we provided an actual Railway departure feature on the homepage. Tap on the railway and alle next departing trains are shown. So you dont need an addition App for that. For this feature WiFi or network connection is needed. Try to find any free WiFi hotspot if you want to avoid data roaming.

No data roaming for the basics, GPS is all you need:
All maps in this App are available for offline use. For additional information like websites or actual Railway departures you need a WiFi or a network connection which might need data roaming.

Pros and cons of Tourist Amsterdam app for iPhone and iPad

Tourist Amsterdam app good for

Great idea but the app requires further development to reach its full potential. Here are some things to do: (1) Centraal Station is not the center of the world and also not the center of Amsterdam. Provide support for other key statuions such as Zuid, RAI, etc. (2) The Metro and also the Railway are Static maps -- give us a break --provide dynamic links to information (3) Sending users to google map with no way to go back to the app is wrong. At least provide a WARNING that one is about to leave the app and lose the search results (4) links to live time tables etc... Oh so much more can be done to make it #1 app in Amsterdam...get to work folks!! One more thing, with all the limiations, its still very useful !! Id say get it.....
Very useful during my recent trips to Amsterdam. Application includes all major sites (museums, etc) and directions to get there via public transportation. My only complaint is that when you close the app, it forgets what you were looking at and you need to navigate there again. I would give this app 5 stars if it remembered the last item that you were looking at when the app was closed. I would reccomend this app to anyone visiting Amsterdam. Get the iamsterdam card + this app & enjoy your trip!
My biggest concern before purchasing was the tram map, whether it would be easy to use; it is. The maps are clear, easy to read.

Some bad moments

This App Is useless. I have Not figured out what this does to help you to get around in Amsterdam. I recomment the GVB app for timetables and also Trip planning whenever you have Internet Connection (most hotels and many cafés have wifi) or the basic "holland - Amsterdam mobile Guide" for offline GPS tracking of your location. Both are free, in contrast to the infomaps App. Probably The worst app i ever bought. T
The app doesnt have an adequate search. The offline map is just awful. If you want to find some hotspots in the offline map straight from the hotspots menu - dont even try to, its impossible. All you get for the money is a static map without zoom and search functions and some short texts with tiny pictures in the hotspots menu. As mentioned before, its impossible to locate a hotspot on the offline map even from the hotspot tab. Dont bother buying.
